Community Guidelines

Parp is built on real opinions from real people. These Community Guidelines help maintain a trusted environment where users can share authentic experiences, discover reliable insights, and engage respectfully.

By using the Platform, you agree to follow these guidelines in addition to all our other policies.

1. Be Authentic

• Share genuine experiences based on real interactions with products, places, services, or media.
• Ensure your Praise or Shame ratings reflect honest personal experiences.
• Do not post fake reviews or reviews for experiences you did not have.
• Do not post incentivized reviews without clearly disclosing any material relationship or benefit received.

2. Be Respectful

• Critique experiences, not individuals.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation are strictly prohibited.
• Hate speech or content promoting discrimination or violence against protected groups is not allowed.
• Disagreements are acceptable when expressed respectfully and constructively.

3. Responsible Use of Praise & Shame

• Use Praise when an experience genuinely exceeded expectations.
• Use Shame when an experience genuinely failed to meet reasonable expectations.
• Coordinated rating campaigns designed to manipulate public perception are prohibited.
• Businesses, employees, or affiliated individuals may not post reviews about their own businesses or competitors without clear disclosure.

4. Content Standards

Allowed Content

• Honest opinions about products, services, places, and media.
• Helpful context describing your experience.
• Photos or videos that accurately represent your experience.

Prohibited Content

• Personal or confidential information about others.
• Sexually explicit or graphic violent content.
• Content encouraging dangerous behavior or illegal activities.
• Spam, repetitive promotional content, or automated posting.
• Deliberately misleading or false claims presented as factual information.
• Content that exploits or harms minors.

5. Intellectual Property

• Post only content you own or have the right to share.
• Do not copy or plagiarize other users' Parps or external copyrighted materials.
• Respect trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property laws.

6. Impersonation and Deception

• Do not impersonate individuals, businesses, or organizations.
• Do not create misleading or fraudulent accounts.
• Parody or fan accounts must clearly indicate that they are unofficial.

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, use the reporting tools available within the Platform. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and reporting activity remains confidential.

8. Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

• Content removal.
• Warning notices.
• Temporary account suspension.
• Permanent account termination for severe or repeated violations.
